Introspection. Complexity. Memories.
|
Holly Andres, born in Missoula, Montana in 1977, is an American photographer who is based in Portland, Oregon. Though she was originally trained as a painter, earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Montana and her Masters' from Portland State University, she found her fame through her photography.
From my very first glance at her work, I instantly fell in love with her gorgeous images. Her perspective on life is simply breathtaking and perfectly captures what reality looks like. Similar to my views, she often seeks out a POV that is unusual and isn't normally captured. The photo series I'm particularly attracted to, featured on Andres' website, is the OBJECTS, in which she displays nearly painfully accurate depictions of emotion and every day life, which I greatly appreciate and strive to channel into my own photos.
Below are my favorite picks from her online series in which she presents us with introspection, complexity, and memories that have swirled around in her talented mind and ended up at the end of her camera lens.
